Looking forward to the club statement later tonight saying how we dedicated all our efforts in the transfer window into bringing in Messi and we were within inches of him signing until this u-turn.

Nobody comes out of this looking well. Barca should just set a reasonable fee for him. Let him go rather than hold him hostage and lose him for free in 9 months.

was listening to terry gibson earlier who said they'll be a new president by march, which means koeman will be gone (maybe at the end of the season) and replaced by xavi, with puyol as director of football. what a club 😂

Comparisons with Ronaldo are pointless, one was a promising kid who developed into a world class player and the other is a great talent who's best days are behind him.
That said given the atrocious standard of defending in the Premiership, he will have some fun

Barcelona can of course negotiate a transfer fee less than the buyout but they seem to be digging their heels in.
As Lineker said it would be a bit sad if his time there ends with legal cases and Messi refusing to play

LaLiga says that #FCB are right and Messi's buy out clause should stand and will not give him the permit to sign for another club unless that clause is paid

Another THREAD on the #Messigate
Messi hasnt gone to the PCR tests this morning. As he said in his recorded delivery of the 25th Aug, he isnt a FCB player anymore. He wont go to training tomorrow. In his eyes, and legally, he thinks he is in the right and a FREE PLAYER right now
